We use a myriad of sourcing techniques that has been perfected over the years to ensure clients are offered a selection of well-matched venues to meet their brief. Katie Allen - Account Director

After leaving college with a BTEC National Diploma in European Business Studies, Katie spent 3 years developing Corporate Golf events for a new multi million pound golf complex, Chesfield Downs. She then moved into a Sales Managers role in the Hotel Industry and spent one year learning about industry before moving onto a National Account role for Thistle Hotels and subsequently QMH. After spending 6 years in the Hotel industry Katie was eager to find a new challenge and was recruited as an Account Director for CiM a UK based Conference Venue Finding Agency . In 2004, together with Annette Clare and Sarah Dale she formed Creme Conferences with the sole purpose of providing clients a bespoke, personalised venue finding service.

In her spare time, Katie enjoys spending quality time with her daughter Millie and her 2 border collie dogs Blaze and Amber. She enjoys keeping fit and is looking forward to treking the Inca Trail for her chosen charities.

Amy Theakston - International Conference Manager

After graduating from Hertfordshire University in 2006 with a degree in linguistics combined with French, Amy spent time working in France hosting incentive groups on skiing trips in the Alps. On her return Amy began working at Creme, bringing with her a vast knowledge of European languages and experience in handling overseas incentives.

Over the past 6 years, Amy has increased her knowledge and skills to become an expert in sourcing venues for Conferences, seminars, exhibitions and incentives worldwide. Sourcing venues for prestigious awards ceremonies and large scale conferences combined with handling accommodation requirements for International exhibitions is all in a days work to Amy. No request is too small or too large and through her dedication and commitment to her clients in varying market segments (Finance,Media,Public & Retail) she has been instrumental in expanding Creme Conferences portfolio of clients. In her spare time Amy enjoys skiing and mountain climbing with her partner Stuart. She is also a keen cyclist participating in many cycling events across the UK.

Catherine Oldham / Conference Manager

After leaving College, Catherine spent 4 years working in the Pensions Industry. In 2001 she joined CiM (Conference & Incentive Management), before joining Crème Conferences in July 2004. Catherine’s expertise is in sourcing, negotiating and confirming events in the UK and handles an array of clients in the retail, financial and Public sector. She has been instrumental in sourcing venues for high profile events such as the SONY Roadshows, The National Business Awards, and GE Money Leadership Conference. Never content to just rest on her lorals, she is now enjoying the new challenge of sourcing venues overseas.In her spare time Catherine enjoys a busy family life with her husband Patrick, their two sons Sam and Gabriel and their Border Collie Roger!

Peter Oldham / Financial Controller

Peter started his career as an apprentice at Vauxhall Motors and worked his way up to Senior Supplier Manager liaising with UK and European suppliers.  When Vauxhall Motors closed their site in Luton, after 30 years service Peter chose to move from Weston in Hertfordshire up to St Neots in Cambridgeshire.  In 2004 he joined Crème Conferences and is now responsible for building lasting relationships with Hotels , groups and independent venues to ensure Creme Conferences continues to receive commission from venues; enabling us to continue offering clients a free Venue Finding Service.

Peter is married to Marion and lives near their 3 children and many grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys playing Pétanque and going on holiday.  If you get chance, ask Peter about his Motor Boat adventures on the River Ouse. Stories of his mishaps have kept the Crème team amused for years!

Annette Clare / Account Director

Annette started her career in the Royal Air Force - then moved into advertising sales. After seven successful years working for a local Newspaper company selling advertising space she moved into Hotel Sales - working for a local hotel - part of a National chain. Her career progressed into National Sales  working for another large UK chain and then moved into the Hotel Booking Agency business. Annette is married , lives in Milton Keynes and enjoys Yoga and Pilates . She also enjoys the wonderful Milton Keynes theatre and Stables Jazz theatre and travelling to new places.

Sarah Dale / Account Director

Graduating from Sheffield Hallam University with a Bsc (Hons) in Hotel & Catering Management , Sarah went on to work for a Hotel chain as a management trainee and has an operational background lead in hotels which lead to roles in conferencing and sales. Sarah worked with Milton Keynes Council as the Tourism Development officer, developing the Milton Keynes Conference Desk before going back into area hotel Sales for a large UK chain. Sarah is married, lives in Milton Keynes and has three children. She is a keen runner, and spends time with her family.

Jacquey O'Brien / Accounts Manager

Following a career in show business, during which she worked in theatre, cabaret and TV, Jacquey has been involved in the hotel and conference industry for over 15 years. She has been part of the Crème Conferences team for over 10 years. She is interested in complementary therapies , in particular energy medicine and enjoys reading, going to the theatre, cooking for friends  and spending time on the Costa del Sol,  where she is lucky enough to have a small apartment by the beach.

Beatrice Stokes / Accounts Manager

Responsible for purchase ledger and assisting the Financial Controller in Milton Keynes as required. She has worked for many years in finance and in 2006 she joined Crème Conferences.  Beattie also books accommodation for an array of blue chip clients.  Her hobbies include golf,  making soft furnishings and spending quality time with her lovely grandchildren.

Ellie Francis / Account Executive

Ellie has happily accepted the offer of a full time position with Crème Conferences after recently completing her Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship with Crème after completing her A-Levels. Ellie enjoys going to the cinema and theatre, spending time with her family and friends and going to boxercise.

linda

Linda Eames / Account Executive

Linda started her career as a secretary in London before moving to Milton Keynes. She then went onto working for a family run hotel for several years which she very much enjoyed.

Linda joined Crème Conferences almost 4 years ago working in the capacity of accommodation/conference bookings, including being instrumental in sourcing and booking venues for the annual Championship events for our sporting clients. In her spare time she enjoys Yoga and Pilates and spending time with her family.
